The check valve is responsible for directing air into the exhaust and preventing exhaust gases from flowing back into the air injection pump.

• Check Engine Light: A common sign of a faulty check valve is the check engine light illuminating. The ECU will detect issues with the air injection system and log related error codes, such as P0410 or P0411
