The A/C compressor is responsible for providing the system pressure necessary to move refrigerant throughout the A/C system. Without adequate system pressure, the refrigerant will not adequately cool the air in your vehicle's cabin. An A/C system that is not blowing cold air or intermittently blowing cold air can be caused by an A/C compressor. Pulley is off balance
I must have received a manufacturer defected one, was excited to have working A/C after 3 years, unfortunately this one had an off balance or bent pulley right out of the box. I thought it might not be a big deal once it's on the car, but i'm pretty sure this is going to eat away at my accessory belt. Luckily I can replace it with lifetime warranty but that means i'll probably need to pull the front off again :(

This depends on the year and model of your vehicle. There are multiple vr6 configurations. This is intended for use with 12 valve vr6 motors in the mk4 (1999-2002) VW Jetta or GTI.

This compressor is intended orginally for vr6 applications and as such has a 6 rib pulley instead of 5.
