Low quality protective plastic
I really like the idea of these, but after using them for three wheel changes, the plastic protective cover at the end of the 17mm socket has cracked and is about to break off. It is clearly too hard and too thin of a plastic cover. I’ve used other protecta sockets for years without ever experiencing such and issue, but always used a small extension to get the gun away from the rim. These solved that problem in concept, but in practice, they are not worth the price.

Are these safe to use with an impact gun (and will they last more than 1 or 2 uses that way :)?
