Product Information

Multi-Purpose Spill-Free Funnel

The Spill Free Funnel has been improved by adding an extra 45 degree elbow, a 5" extension, and a new E adapter. The E adapter is used on the surge tanks on many Ford applications. 45 degree elbow allows use on radiator caps that are placed at an angle. Extension allows access to caps located under shrouds or in fender wells.

The Spill-Free Funnel eliminates trapped air pockets which usually cause erratic cooling system and heater performance. It controls the proper amount of coolant entering system and enables unattended filling of the cooling system. The funnel eliminates squeaky belts caused by coolant overflow and protect the environment. Five adapters fit most domestic and import cars, light trucks and Ford vehicles.

About Lisle

Founded in 1903, C.A. Lisle started the company with the first product being horse-powered water well drilling machines. On the off season to the well drilling business, they manufactured washing machines, cream separators, and push-type reel lawn mowers. In the mid-20s, Lisle Corporation made its first automotive product, a master ignition vibrator for Ford Model T vehicles. The first Lisle tool, a valve refacer, fast became a repair shop must since valves were reground every 20,000 miles at that time. In the 1930's they also manufactured magnetic oil drain plugs that were used in WWII for military equipment resulting in the Army/Navy E Award for manufacturing excellence in supporting the war effort. In the 1950's after the war, the automotive aftermarket boomed and demand for specialty automotive tools increased. It was then that the Lisle Corporation made the decision to grow the company by introducing new tools that could be made in the company's own factory, thereby controlling quality, delivery and costs. Today the company's tool line consists of more than 400 products of which most are produced at the original location, now expanded, in Clarinda, Iowa.

Not quite right for N54
2009 335i reservoir took the collar D-Purple ok...but the D black nut that is supposed to hold it dow and tight doesn't fit. The D adapter is too tall, it kinda holds in there and supports the funnel but it's not for OE reservoir on this car. Disappointing.

Question Posted by SEBASTIEN
Is this the 24970 as per title (includes cap for VW https://www.lislecorp.com/specialty-tools/spill-free-funnel-777 ) or 24680 (as per SKU LIS-24680 and OE Number 24680 ), which wouldn't include the VW adapter ( https://www.lislecorp.com/specialty-tools/spill-free-funnel-606 ) ? The picture doesn't show the VW adapter; also picture is from an ols version as the caps are now colored.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This is 24680, 24970 appears to be obsolete/discontinued by Lisle. I have updated the title to make this clear - thank you for pointing this out.
