The ignition condenser, also known as a capacitor, is a critical component in the ignition system of an internal combustion engine. It works in conjunction with the ignition coil to provide a high voltage spark that ignites the fuel in the combustion chamber.

Typically housed within the distributor, the ignition condenser is responsible for storing and releasing electrical energy to create a strong spark at the spark plugs.
