Ceramic brake pads The friction compound used in this brake pad set is Ceramic. The main benefit of using a ceramic pad compound is that it produces less brake dust compared to a semi-metallic pad without sacrificing overall braking power. These pads will have less initial bite than a semi-metallic compound, but produce significantly less dust and have better temperature fade resistance in performance driving situations.

Low dust, great performance
I've been using Akebono ceramic pads on a number of cars and have always been really happy with them.

AKEBONO brake pads
After trying these pads out on the front brakes I will never use any other brand but these forever. They are fantastic for being quiet and leaving NO BRAKE DUST. I made the mistake of letting a car repair place put on brake pads on the rear of my 2012 Range Rover Sport HSE LUX. Theirs squeak when backing up and leave tons of brake dust on my wheels which I just hate. I decided to try AKEBONO for the front and I love them, especially the fact that they leave no brake dust. What a relief. I can't wait to replace the rear brake pads as well. I have 25k on them and I'm counting every mile down when I can replace them as soon as they wear down. need my money out of them. You will not be disappointed in the AKEBONO brake pads unless you just like to continuously clean off brake dust. These pads are great and priced reasonably I think.
