Description

Radiator Stop-Leak is a dispersion for sealing leaks in water-cooling systems in motor vehicles. The product reliably seals hair cracks and small leaks. The solids dispersion is stabilized in carrier fluid.

Areas of application

Used for sealing small leaks in cooling circuits of passenger motor vehicles, commercial vehicles, buses and two-wheel vehicles. Also suitable for cooling circuit with filters.

Application

Shake container before use. Run the heating system. With the engine running, pour the contents into the cooling fluid at operating temperature and allow the engine to continue running for a further 10 minutes. The contents is sufficient for 10 liters of coolant.

2012 Mercedes C250 Coupe coolant leak
I have leak from rear coolant pipe for oil cooler and head , this part number have leak in my car (2712002352 ) but not to much leak , Will it succeed in closing the leak or not and is it permanent or temporary?

Safe and effective cooling system stop leak.
I had a mysterious slow leak with no visible leak. This seams to have sealed the leak which I now believe was in the head gasket on #8 cyl on my N62. The random slight misfire on INPA cyl smoothness readings seams to have disappeared. Not sure if this is permanent but with 200k miles my timing chain only has about 50k left so Im happy with the result. Heater works fine also with this stop leak. Liquimoly is the only brand I trust for stop leak.

Houdini in a bottle
Houdini himself probably couldn't do the magic this little can does. After replacing a R60 Mini Countryman WP, thermostat housing and cross-pipe; the cross-pipe started leaking behind the WP connection after a couple of months. Replaced the pipe twice and same thing. The repair procedure is painful. After using this magic potion, the leak stopped. Nothing is perfect, every once in awhile (months) I might have to top up a small bit (nothing major), but beats trying to access the cross-pipe time and time again.

Worked like a charm
I had a small leak somewhere in the engine cooling system, I put a bottle of this in the reservoir and there hasn't been a leak since, I no longer have to add coolant every other week.

Is this safe to use on a 2019 BMW 430i Gran Coupe (B48)? Will it clog any to the heating core and should I warm up the engine with the cap off the expansion tank of course before using?

Yes, it is safe for use in your system and should not clog any coolant passages. If used please follow the application directions: Shake container before use. Run the heating system. With the engine running, pour the contents into the cooling fluid at operating temperature and allow the engine to continue running for a further 10 minutes. My understanding from the video is that the engine needs to be at operating temperature before adding this product. So does that mean you have to remove the radiator cap before starting the car and letting it get to temp? You can’t leave the cap on and then try to remove it afterward, since the system will be pressurized — correct?

Correct, it is not advised to open the cap once the system is at operating temperature and pressurized. You would want to start the vehicle and warm it up with the cap off, then add the product, let the vehicle run for 10 minutes once the product is added.

This product is not intended to seal leaks that are caused by actual part failure, it is generally used to seal leaks caused by very very small airgaps/swollen or leaky o-rings, seals, etc. If the part you have is actually damaged or rotted out in some way, it will need to be replaced.

2014 Q5 TDI 135k noticed that I had to start topping off my antifreeze 1.2k miles. I see no leaks no staining on pavement. Will this help address the issue? I have read it might be a leak in the a leak at the EGR Cooler in the valley where you can't see it. Looking forward to some feedback!

Will using the radiator cleaner remove the stop leak product within the cooling system? I added the stop leak and my small leak is sealed - but I am due for a flush soon and don't want to remove the benefits of the sealer.
