I used the Redline Power Steering fluid in my E46 323i based on the reviews of the product. After two weeks my power steering pump started howling on start-up. I don't know what is different with this fluid but my power steering on my E46 specifically calls for "ATF" and I thought the Redline would be an improvement. I flushed my system and did one additional reservoir siphon/fill with a Dexron-III fluid and the noise has gone away. I love Redline products but this particular product didn't work for me in my application. I do use it in my other two vehicles that specify 'Power Steering Fluid' in their systems and it seems to work great.
