Product Information

The transfer case actuator is a common failure point on high mileage 955 and 957 Cayennes. When this happens the all-wheel drive functionality will be lost. This kit includes the transfer case actuator along with new hardware for a complete installation.

Transfer Case Actuator

A transfer case motor is part of a vehicle's drivetrain that helps transfer power from the transmission to the axles. A bad transfer case can also damage the transmission by causing uneven power distribution and increased strain on the transmission components. A faulty transfer case motor can cause several issues, including:

Transfer Case Actuator Failure Symptoms
  • Shifting problems: Difficulty shifting gears, getting stuck in a gear, or delayed engagement when shifting between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive
