Product Information

The spark plugs on the Cayenne and Panamera require replacement every 40,000 miles. When the ignition coils start to go bad it will turn the check engine light on for a cylinder misfire. This significantly reduces engine performance and driveability and in severe instances can lead to engine damage.

Since the ignition coils have to be removed to replace the spark plugs, and as preventative maintenance while you're in there, we have included them in this kit as a complete service solution to keep your Porsche performing in top shape.

Ignition Coil Kit

An ignition coil is a vital car component that produces high-voltage electricity to generate a spark at the spark plug, igniting the air-fuel mixture within the engine cylinder. When an ignition coil fails, it can cause engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power, an illuminated check engine light, difficulty starting the engine, and sometimes backfiring. These issues arise from weak or inconsistent sparks produced by the malfunctioning coil.

High Hopes
Very high quality parts, but unfortunately the 2013 Porsche Panamera S is too sensitive--it reads multiple (inconsistent bank #'s & cylinder #'s) misfires despite meticulously and precisely torquing down the sparks and carefully seating the ignition coils upon them. The idle is no longer rough like it was on the Bosch/Beru combination, but if you want to pass California SMOG and keep the check engine light off for another ~10K miles before having to replace them again, opt for the Bosch/Beru kit. Sad day as this has lead me to sell the car. Cheers to FCP Euro for getting me this far.
