Product Information

The spark plugs on the Cayenne and Panamera require replacement every 40,000 miles. When the ignition coils start to go bad it will turn the check engine light on for a cylinder misfire. This significantly reduces engine performance and driveability and in severe instances can lead to engine damage.

Since the ignition coils have to be removed to replace the spark plugs, and as preventative maintenance while you're in there, we have included them in this kit as a complete service solution to keep your Porsche performing in top shape.

Ignition Coil Kit

An ignition coil is a vital car component that produces high-voltage electricity to generate a spark at the spark plug, igniting the air-fuel mixture within the engine cylinder. When an ignition coil fails, it can cause engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power, an illuminated check engine light, difficulty starting the engine, and sometimes backfiring. These issues arise from weak or inconsistent sparks produced by the malfunctioning coil.

I'm not sure whether I received a bad batch or not.
I purchased and installed those in April 2023, and now two coils and plugs are already failing. I'm not sure whether I received a bad batch or not.

Never had any issues with this kit. Be careful taking out the aluminum e-torx skrews that hold them down!

Original equipment item
Plug & Play. My old coils were cracked, all of them, and since the kit comes with spark plugs, is a no-brainer to change them also. Now my 2011 Cayenne engine runs smooth!
