Ignition Coil Kit

An ignition coil is a vital car component that produces high-voltage electricity to generate a spark at the spark plug, igniting the air-fuel mixture within the engine cylinder. When an ignition coil fails, it can cause engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power, an illuminated check engine light, difficulty starting the engine, and sometimes backfiring. These issues arise from weak or inconsistent sparks produced by the malfunctioning coil.

Ignition Coil Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Engine misfires: The most prominent sign, causing the engine to jerk or shudder, especially when accelerating, due to inconsistent combustion in one or more cylinders
  • Rough idling: The engine vibrates or shakes noticeably when idling due to uneven firing of cylinders
  • Decreased engine power: The car may feel sluggish or lack acceleration due to incomplete combustion

Questions & Answers

Ask a question
Question Posted by joel
Why does this kit include 5 aftermarket coils and 1 oem coil?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
The #6 cylinder is too close to the turbo wastegate actuator and needs to be shorter. Surprisingly, there is no non-genuine part available for that position.
