Forms friction and wear reducing "Moly" film on all sliding surfaces of the engine.

Areas of application

For all 4-stroke gasoline and diesel engines, with or without turbochargers. Miscible with most commercially available motor oils. Safe for use with catalytic converters and particulate filters (GPF/DPF). Not suitable for use with wet clutches! Contents (300 mL) are sufficient for 3–6 Liters (0.8 gal. to 1.6 gal.) of motor oil. Shake well before use.

MoS2 Liqui Moly
Great product. I used it in my MK7 GTI (<50k miles) and not only does the engine run even quieter, the oil has been running a few degrees cooler. I will continue using.

Really good stuff for any ICEs
I have been using Liqui Molly MoS2 engine treatment on my 99ML320 and 05 325xi for the last 10+ yrs on every 5K miles oil change. Both engines are still running like new and strong with 230K and 160K miles on them respectively. The 26 yrs old ML320 still idles smoothly without spilling water out of a cup sitting on top of it. The mod bimmer still takes off like a rocket. It even makes my 25 yrs old Sears snow thrower and lawn tractor running quietly and smoothly. Too bad that it can't be used on EV!

Engine Sounds Better
It might be my imagination, but my 2014 TDI sounds a bit quieter after adding a can of this MoS2 treatment. Only time will tell if it continues!

MOSo2 Moly oil additive
I have never believed in additives; always called them snake oil. But this Moly product is excellent. I use it in my Mercedes V12 twin turbo. Makes a smooth engine truly vibration free. Cannot even tell the engine is running unless you look at the tachometer.

Works like a charm!
I was having really loud lifter noises in my E70 X5 3.0is. The noise was so loud it felt like rod knock. pour this product in and the noise is 100% gone. Not only took the noise, but now in combination with Moly oil is protecting my engine. My E70 X5 has 188,895 Miles and it going and feel strong.

I have a manual 6-sp mk7 (2017) GTI. Liqui Moly website says not to use this with a wet clutch. I am finding conflicting information & am confused on whether I have a wet or dry clutch. Does anyone know definitively? I want to use this if it's safe for my car.

Yes, from the clutch-safety standpoint, this is safe to use in your 2017 GTI 6-speed manual because your manual clutch is a dry clutch and does not share the engine oil. Liqui Moly’s wet-clutch warning applies to wet-clutch/shared-oil systems, and this product is added only to the engine oil; use one 300 ml can with 3–6 liters / 3.2–6.4 qt of engine oil as directed.

Hello, I have a Volvo S60 T6 2021. I changed my oil when my vehicle was at 80,000 Miles, but I used the Liqui Molly Ceratec during that oil change. Now my car is almost about to hit 90,000 Miles and I am planning on doing another oil change then. Just for clarifications, since this is going to be my second oil change at 90,000 Miles, I should be able to use the MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment even when I previously used the Ceratec additive during my 1st round of oil change at 80,000 Miles right? And then in the future once I go into my 3rd oil change after another 10,000 miles, I can use the MoS2 again, and then once I go into my 4th oil change after another round of 10,000 miles, then I can once again use the Ceretec additive again, right? Thanks

This is fine if desired, however, MoS2 should be used at every oil change, whereas Cera Tec is typically applied at longer intervals, around every 50,000 km or 30,000 miles.

Is this safe to use in Mercedes engines with causing any damage as FCP EURO claims to use it in Mercedes? The manual for my 2014 Mercedes C300 (NA M276 engine), on page 355, states: "Do not use any additives in the engine oil. This could damage the engine."

No concerns with safety, we used these additives on a ton of our project vehicles and our race C300 that had the M272 and the same Mercedes warning, without issue. Now, you asked the same on the Ceratec and the Pro-Line engine flush additives, would be mindful of what you are trying to get out of them, as it may not make sense to use both the Ceratec and the MoS2. But all would work fine without issue to answer your question.

Unfortunately, this wouldn't technically qualify because our warranty requires you to return the product. Once used, there's no way to actually return just the MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment.

You'll want to run just the Liqui Moly Cera Tec instead of using both as the MoS2 will be redundant.

1 can will treat up to 6 liters. You will need to purchase 2 cans of the MoS2 and use 100ml from the 2nd can. In total 400ml of MoS2 will be needed for your 997.1.

My 2007 Volvo V50 manual specifically says OIL ADDITIVES MUST NOT BE USED. I see Volvo certificates for some specific oils and weights, but not the MoS2 or Ceratec. Are these additives safe?

Yes, I have personally used them and never had an issue. This additive provides wear protection and will be safe when using the recommended amount along with a quality/recommended oil.

MoS2 is very good for these applications to reduce wear. If choosing a Liqui Moly oil for this engine, 20W50 THT oil and 10W40 MOS2 oils have high ZDDP levels. (1100-1200ppm). Just be clear, ZDDP is highly recommended even by Liqui Moly on flat-tappet engine internals. In those cases, I would not substitute but rather do whatever the part manufacturer or machinist recommends and then “make it even better” with the additional protection of MoS2 additive.
