Turns the cooling fan on at a lower 80° C

The Mishimoto Thermoswitch Fan Switch replaces your OEM fan switch, allowing your radiator fan to activate at 80 degrees, 15 degrees lower than stock temperature. Installation is simple with direct replacement to OEM switch.

Engine Cooling Fan Switch

An Engine Cooling Fan Switch monitors the engine temperature and controls the operation of the cooling fan, which helps regulate the engine's temperature by drawing air through the radiator. When the engine reaches a specific temperature, the switch activates the cooling fan to help dissipate heat and prevent overheating.

Engine Cooling Fan Switch Failure Symptoms
  • Overheating Engine: A malfunctioning cooling fan switch may fail to activate the cooling fan, causing the engine to overheat. If the fan doesn’t turn on when needed, the engine temperature can rise dangerously high, potentially leading to serious engine damage
  • Constantly Running Cooling Fan: If the switch is stuck in the "on" position, the cooling fan may run continuously, even when the engine is cool. This can lead to unnecessary battery drain and increased wear on the fan motor

Works great, not a direct fit.
Switch works great, nice quality. However, this is for a Honda Civic and other Hondas, installed it into an e30, required an adapter from M18 to 1/4inch, couldn't find one so I had a shop fabricate one. You'll also need to get the connector from the civic to make the wiring. Overall, great product but definitely not plug and play.

What plug style is this? I am installing this switch on my 944 which also uses a simple 2-wire switch. I wish to order the correct pigtail to modify my wiring harness to take this plug style. Thanks!

Yes, several. Fan switch is a twist lock style into the lower radiator hose in the radiator hose neck. You would need to tap this into the lower radiator hose using an adapter that has an M18x1.5mm threaded hole, change the connector on the body harness (probably also have to extend it). This is a universal style part, we do not guarantee this will work for every application.

This is a universal product that will require modification to install as its not a direct fit for your vehicle. Unfortunately we don't have any installation information that instructs you as to whats entailed, our apologies.
