A brake bleeder screw is a small valve located on each brake caliper or wheel cylinder that allows air and old fluid to be purged from the brake system during servicing. By opening the screw, technicians can bleed trapped air, ensuring the hydraulic system is filled only with brake fluid for proper pressure and braking performance. A functioning bleeder screw is essential for safe, consistent braking.
