Can I use this to tap new threads on the 7 intake manifold torque bolts M6x1.0 on a mk6 gti 2011

This CTA 35069 kit is an M6x1.0 thread repair insert kit, so it can be used to repair damaged M6x1.0 female threads, but it is not just a standard tap for cleaning or “refreshing” the original intake manifold threads. The 2011 GTI intake manifold bolt is an M6 fastener, and this kit requires drilling the hole oversize before installing the insert, so we only recommend it if the original threads are stripped or damaged. Is this the correct size for the valve cover bolts on a '98 Z3 with the 1.9? The threads are stripped in one of the valve cover bolt holes. Thanks!
