Product Information
A windshield washer pump is a small electric pump in a vehicle’s windshield washer system. Its function is to draw windshield washer fluid from the reservoir and spray it through the nozzles onto the windshield. This helps clean the windshield of dirt, bugs, and debris, improving visibility for safe driving.
Windshield Washer Pump Failure Symptoms- Washer Fluid Not Spraying: The most common sign of a failing pump is that no washer fluid sprays onto the windshield when the system is activated, even if the reservoir is full
- Washer Fluid Leaks: If the pump housing or connections are damaged, it may cause washer fluid to leak under the vehicle, especially near the front or rear
- Low or Inconsistent Spray Pressure: A partially failing pump may produce weak or inconsistent fluid flow, resulting in only a small amount of fluid reaching the windshield
