Trunk Lock Actuator Motor

A trunk lock actuator motor is an electronic component that powers the locking and unlocking mechanism of a vehicle’s trunk. Controlled by the key fob, trunk release button, or central locking system, it converts electrical signals into mechanical movement to open or secure the trunk latch. Over time, the motor or its internal gears and wiring can wear out, leading to access issues.

  • Trunk won’t open or lock electronically – unresponsive to key fob or trunk release switch.
  • Intermittent operation – actuator works only sometimes or requires multiple attempts.

Is this the actuator which is used for the soft close

No, this is just for the latch and its integrated actuating motor. Not the soft close actuator. That would be a different part we can determine the fitment with using the VIN if you are able to provide that to our Customer Service Team: service@fcpeuro.com
