Castrol EDGE Extended Performance 5W-30 is a full synthetic engine oil formulated for modern gasoline and diesel engines that require a fuel-efficient, low-viscosity lubricant with strong wear protection and long-term stability. Built around ACEA A5/B5, ACEA C2, and API SQ performance requirements, it combines a low-SAPS additive package with a high viscosity index of 163 to provide excellent cold-start performance, oxidation resistance, and protection against viscosity breakdown under high temperatures and sustained load. With a kinematic viscosity of 9.9 cSt at 100°C and sulfated ash content of just 0.77%, it is designed to help maintain engine cleanliness while supporting modern emissions systems and protecting against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in direct-injected turbocharged engines.

Castrol EDGE Extended Performance is engineered to deliver outstanding thermal stability, deposit control, and wear protection over extended service intervals. Its advanced synthetic base oils help maintain a durable lubricating film under demanding operating conditions while reducing sludge and varnish formation.
