An engine auxiliary water pump is a component in a vehicle's cooling system that helps circulate coolant to the engine, heater core, and supporting systems leveraging coolant like the turbocharger. It is particularly useful in systems where additional coolant flow is needed to maintain optimal operating temperatures, especially during low-speed driving or when the engine is idling.

• Overheating Engine: If the auxiliary water pump fails, it can lead to inadequate coolant circulation, causing the engine to overheat, especially in stop-and-go traffic or under heavy loads
• Coolant Leaks: A malfunctioning pump may develop leaks due to damaged seals or housing, resulting in visible coolant pooling under the vehicle
• Inconsistent Cabin Heating: If the pump is not circulating coolant properly, the heater may produce inconsistent or insufficient heat, leading to cold air blowing from the vents
