Product Information

Takes fuel pressure on vehicles with the Schrader-type test port on the fuel rail. This fuel pressure tester is commonly used for BMW and Volvo models.

Features 3-1/2" (90mm) gauge with dual calibration (5-145 PSI / 25-1,000 kPa) with quick couplers attached to both gauge and hose assembly to allow for additional adapter use. Included adapter Schroeder size is 5/16" x .308

Fuel Pressure Tester #3445 - Leak Issue
I have a BMW 3.30Ci and wanted to check the fuel pressure. Thinking that product from FCP would be a good buy in terms of quality. I decided to buy from FCP even though cheaper ones are available on Amazon and eBay. The product arrived on time, package and the tester in good shape. The issue is when i started using the tester, the fuel was leaking heavy from the fitting of the car rail and at the gauge end. The fuel rail cap has a black O ring and there were no O ring on the gauge. Luck on my side, I had silicon O ring that fitted well on the gauge and I was able to stop the leak. Able to use the pressure tester as intended. For this reason I am giving this product a 3 star more related to quality check.

This was great for trouble-shooting a fuel delivery problem—ended up being something straightforward—the fuel pump. Only thing is that I had to lengthen the hose, as I was working by myself and couldn’t see the gauge from the driver’s seat.

Works
Got it to try to diagnose/assess some stalling issues on my 97 850...it ain't the fuel pump(or relay), the tool clocked it @ 45 PSI... The tool: It's affordable, looks decently made with some brass fitting, etc., seems accurate enough. The gauge is larger than it appears on the FCP pic- that's nice, you can clearly see it from far, 100% from the driver's seat. Quick connect is nice, makes it easy to protect the gauge, store the tool, install/remove the tool and you can purchase other hoses/fittings for it so its useful... What really irked me(so 4 stars): It says its designed for Volvo, but man, you cannot put it on the fuel rack without at least loosening the throttle cable guide(and getting it out the way)so the hose can be properly threaded on the fuel rack- WTH? If the crimped part of the hose was half the length, or there was at least a 45^ angle on the hose it would have gone in just like that...c-mon! Otherwise worth it...
