4-Gallon Fluid Extractor Tank - CTA Manufacturing 6510

This is a very simple tool and I've just done one oil change with it thus far. Very easy to use - just pump the handle a couple of times. I'm considering purchasing an air compressor, which will make this even better (as it has an attachment for one)! Evacuating the oil into a container to dispose of at O'Reilly's is very simple and there's no mess at all. All in all, would highly recommend!

I have used this on a 2004 BMW 325CI along with a 2018 Jaguar XF. Extractor works very well with the hand pump or compressed air. Definetly makes oil changes a painless and clean process.

This is a great product except there is no lid cover for the top outlet. I accidentally nocked it over and spilled dirty used oil on my my garage floor.

This makes removing fluids from above the car possible. Honestly, it should have occurred to engineers to make this a commonplace household item fifty years ago. My oil change was easy, and took about 40 minutes from warming the oil up to hood closed and waste oil re-bottled. I'll also use this to help remove power steering or brake fluid when needed. My one gripe with the extractor is that the sealing cap is built such that oil always remains in the tank. It can't be easily poured out, except maybe into a drain pan. If you are re-bottling your waste oil for lifetime warranty replacement, a few ounces will likely remain.

First time using an extractor. Ease of use puts this at 5 stars. I start the removal and by the time I have changed the filter it’s almost done. Easy and clean.

I wanted to have something to prevent me from having to take the belly pan off every 10k and risking losing those annoying hex screws in my gravel driveway. I looked at a bunch of different brands of fluid extractors: some cheaper, some more pricey. Ultimately picked this because of FCP's Lifetime warranty. I used it today, and it had all oil out in a matter of minutes; the only slow down was my air compressor that didn't keep up with the extractor's air requirement. After it was done, I even sucked up the residual in the oil filter housing. The whole job took about 20 minutes, which could have been shortened if I had FCP's 32mm oil filter socket, which I am about to order. I did it today when it was about 20 degrees; no oil in the face, no scrambling for a pan, no huge oil mess. I save my oil for heat, and the opening is small enough to fill your old quart-containers of oil. The back side even has a little metal pin to hold while you pour it into your choice of receptacle. One improvement I would like to see: a cap to allow the extractor to be stored without the inside being open to the air or using the extractor attachments.
