Product Information

Oetiker style clamps are often difficult to properly tighten and secure without the correct tool. This tool is specially designed to do just that and also features a 1/2" drive for the added use of a torque wrench when tightening clamps.

  • Built-in 1/2" square drives in each arm for use with a torque wrench and breaker bar, when high torque is required

Larger than expected, but clearly capable of exerting force.
I haven't used these yet. They are larger than I expected, but that's not really a negative. They will clearly exert a considerable amount of force on the Volvo clamps, which is exactly what I need. Shipping was excellent too.

Nice to have if you use stock clamps. These have a post that punches down the center, unlike my previous set.

tool review CTA-4210
The pliers worked well, I had to bend one of the handles to access the first clamp I set. Your videos show a the mechanic using what appears to be the same tool, but did they not have a second set of dies on the sides, so that you could set the clamp from a perpendicular angle to the clamps band? If so, then they might be more useful for this tight area.

Great Tool
I purchased new tie rod boots along with inner and outer tie rods. The new boots came with OE-style clamps, so I ordered an appropriate tool. It worked perfectly, my new tie r ods and boots look great.

This would only work with the crimp style hose clamps which is used for multiple applications.
