Used in a variety of application on European cars, features an integrated u-joint for easy access to tight spaces

Great for many European makes, e.g. BMW Brakes, Transmissions, etc. The u-joint design allows access in difficult areas. Features a 3/8 drive.

Needed this socket for a weekend job, hard to find local so I got it while I ordered the parts needed. made my job easier having the correct socket versus trying to use an universal one that could end up striping the head of the bolts. Lifetime replacement if it fails at some point. Thanks FCP euro!!!

Nice socket but too large if wanting to use on oil filter housing bolt
Nice and reasonably priced socket. However, if trying to access the top rear bolt on the E90 oil filter housing it is too large to slip through or under the intake manifold runners. You will need a 1/4" drive socket and/or swivel. Having said that the 3/4" will come in handy for other bolts.

Too big for E9x oil filter housing gasket work
If you're purchasing this to do the oil filter housing gasket on your BMW then be aware that this is too big to get at the E10 bolt under the intake manifold. You're going to want a 1/4" drive socket for that. Otherwise this part is exactly as described.

Yes, but it's not necessarily needed for an N54 since the intake manifold has to be removed to get the back bolt for the oil filter housing.

Yes, this should make removing the filter housing bolt under the intake manifold pretty straight forward. Highly recommended for N52 engines.

Most of the valve cover bolts on the BMW N51/N52 engines are E8. This particular socket is most useful for removing the oil filter housing.
