Product Information

Description

Castrol React SRF Racing a high performance brake fluid of special value competitive motor sport where extreme braking conditions are encountered. It an exclusive Castrol product registered under patents many countries. Castrol React SRF Racing exceeds US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, ISO 4925, JIS K2233 and current SAE J 1703 specifications.

Application

Castrol React SRF Racing has an exceptionally high dry boiling point ( typically 320°C ) making it ideal for use under arduous braking conditions such as racing or rallying. Castrol React SRF Racing has a very high vapor lock point (the more important measure of high temperature performance under actual braking conditions), and has the additional advantage of sustaining high vapor lock point characteristics during its service life. In order to achieve the optimum benefits in such applications, advanced materials have been employed in a unique and patented Castrol formulation. The properties of this formulation are such that in order to derive maximum benefit the use of Castrol React SRF Racing should be restricted to more than eighteen months before draining and refilling.

Castrol React SRF Racing suitable for all disc and drum brake systems with the exception of those for which mineral oil is prescribed. It is miscible with all conventional fluids meeting US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, ISO 4925 and current SAE J 1703 and J1704. However, mixing with conventional brake fluids will merely reduce the higher quality of Castrol React SRF Racing and therefore recommended that conventional brake fluids be drained from the system before flushing and re refilling.

It is recommended that this fluid is changed every 18 months to maintain it's exceptionally high vapor lock performance.

Holds up to abuse
My second year running this fluid in my track car. I find I can run the fluid for an entire season. It’s very convenient to just swap in fresh fluid at the start of the year, and then not worry about it all year.

SRF and Track use
After trying different fluids on my track cars, SRF is by far the best. Whereas other fluids start to discolor after a weekend and 'burn', SRF stays significantly more consistent over longer. Price is significantly higher than others, however for track duty, you really want to go with the higher end fluids. Nothing like losing your brakes and wading up a car due to cheap brake fluid. Buy once cry once!

Always a good track fluid
I’m disappointed that the price of this has skyrocketed lately. Used to be able to get it for $65. However, there’s no replacement if you’re tracking your car in my opinion. I would not recommend that you use this for a street driven car however. The street driven car simply does not need this level of performance and you’ll never notice it. I think a lot of people are putting this in their non-track cars thinking it’s the best stuff available when it’s really pure overkill. And makes it harder to get in more expensive for me LOL.

Superior upgrade from stock/standard brake fluids. Great for track and racing cars. Fluid handles extreme braking well. Used in conjunction with race pads. Worth the money.

Best Brake Fluid for the Track
Super high wet boiling point means no more bleeding after every track day. I've done over 4 track days in less than 2 months on this fluid with 0 problems...no fade or sponginess.

Mr
This brake fluid is the very best. I have an E60 M5, which is very taxing on the brakes. This fluid holds up really good and its well worth the extra cost to get Castrol SRF
