The right part always fits
Why I had to try rock auto skp on such a part, idk. It didn’t fit though, and I still had to order this one. Mine says “continental” but still green on the back. It fit perfectly though, and works as it should. Just get the right one to start with.

Perfect. Some what easy install if you watch the install video on YouTube. Its an easy job but if you skip or don't follow a few crucial steps it can turn bad real quick. Good quality part.

Valvetronically Motorific
Replaced the factory-installed motor that had its connector partially smashed, resulting in frequent P054B codes and very strange accelerator behavior due to the intermittent connection. Note: After intstalling, use ISTA to properly re-learn the shaft limits. I believe this is in the "Vehicle Management", "Service Functions" sub-tab. The "tap the gas pedal 10 times, turn off, then start" trick doesn't always work, and the automatic limit check seems to be on a random schedule or whenever the DME detects a sensor had been momentarily disconnected.

Fit Perfectly and Quality
You should swap this when doing the valve cover gasket, just be careful and don't overtighten it otherwise the worm will snap and shoot off inside the vcg. You can tell you've done this correctly by feel, if after you install you notice the engine running rough then nope get back to it and redo it. You can also use a scanner to determine the torque for tightening. Worth every dollar as this thing has not given me any more issues. The previous shaft actuator would tell me some wild things on the obd, causes cel, and runs rough, so avoid all that and replace it. Top quality product.

Actuator fits perfectly and does not require programming of any sort. To calibrate, just turn vehicle to on without starting engine and wait for actuator movement.

Eccentric Shaft Act
This part has apparently fixed my 07 328i coupe. Mine barely started and when it did start, it ran terrible. Pulled this out and some of the teeth on the screw part were slightly stripped. Put new one in, starts right up and is running just fine. FCP has never let me down. Great company. Haven't had to return anything yet

I’m installing a new Valvetronic I received from Fcpeuro. After backing off the worm drive to remove upon installing the new Valvetronic do I have to then rotate the worm drive by hand? Or will the car do the initial reset when using the gas pedal reset method?

You need to rotate the worm drive in order to seat the Valvetronic actuator against the seal on the valve cover. The only purpose of rotating the motor is to remove and install the drive mechanism onto the eccentric shaft. The relearn procedure is for learning the min lift and max lift stop positions of the eccentric shaft (these are mechanical limits). We're not aware of a gas pedal reset method but putting the car into accessory mode before starting is safe enough to start the car as the position of the eccentric shaft is ready by the sensor first.

I have questions, thanks for answering, 1st what exactly is the function of the 4mm allen inlet that is under the valvetronic motor connector, the negative if it is loose all the time, and the positive that it remains tight, 2nd question, in that part of the 4mm allen inlet when rotating on the edges a green material comes out, what could it be? So is it worrying and fix right now or wait a bit to save and buy the part?

The 4mm allen is used for turning the worm drive to remove the Valvetronic motor from the eccentric shaft. It isn't used for anything else and shouldn't be "tight" or "loose". It should be left alone when the Valvetronic motor is installed on the valve cover and is engaged with the eccentric shaft. We cover this in a valve cover replacement video which you can see here: https://youtu.be/6DlFKo2809I?t=936. Not sure what you're referring to by green material coming out of it.

Should Long-time PD 1 grease be bought with this motor? BMW service notes indicates: "The gearing of the worm gear and the eccentric shaft must be greased with Long-time PD 1 (4.1)." Just want to check to be sure not to contaminate engine with other grease, but want the new servomotor to have proper lubrication so it can last. Thanks!

You can use any grease really. The grease is for initial installation only. Once installed the grease initially applied will be washed away by the oil squirter next to the interface between the Valvetronic actuator and Valvetronic eccentric shaft. If you want to use PD1 specifically please see p/n 83192160340.

Assuming your vehicle is equipped with the N46 engine this Valvetronic shaft actuator will not fit/work for your vehicle. Your vehicle needs BMW OE# 11377548387 (VDO# A2C59515104) which we do not have access to in the United States.
