Product Information

NOTES:

Engineered to compliment lowering springs or factory springs.

KONI Special Active dampers fall into the sweet spot between performance and comfort. As an evolution of the award-winning FSD (Frequency Select Damper), KONI Special Active utilizes KONI's own patented technology to allow the damper quick reactions to cancel out sharp jounces such as potholes and expansion joints, while simultaneously maintaining a firm and sporty ride. It does so completely through proprietary internal valving and contains no electronics. If you are looking for a sporty European ride without sacrificing comfort over rougher roads, KONI Special Active is a great choice.

  • Excellent ride quality on all road surfaces
  • Red finish shocks
  • Less expensive than electronic system

WARNING: Proposition 65 information
Suspension Shock Absorber Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.

Suspension Shock Absorber Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Bouncy ride: The most noticeable sign, where the car continues to bounce excessively after hitting a bump
  • Nose dive when braking: The front end of the car dips significantly when applying the brakes
  • Excessive body roll in corners: The car leans excessively when turning, feeling unstable
  • Uneven tire wear: Irregular wear patterns on the tires, often with cupping or scalloping due to inconsistent contact with the road
