The control arm bushing tool supports removal or installation of control-arm bushings with tooling matched to the bushing and arm. Supporting pieces react against the arm while the working section applies force to the bushing. Correct support keeps the pressing force concentrated along the intended removal or installation direction.

For smaller bushings
Was recommended to buy when purchasing bushings for my ML63 AMG Mercedes but this toolset is for smaller bushings.

Does this require a hydraulic cylinder to press in bushings

These are used with a hammer, not a hydraulic press, but are intended for use with smaller bearings that are not necessarily press fit wheel bearings etc.
