The first one-component windshield repair system designed to be used by the car owner. May be used on star damage and bullseyes up to 1-1/4" in diameter to prevent further spreading of glass fracture. Safe and easy to use. Requires no mixing, no heat. Makes the repair virtually undetectable.

About Permatex

Permatex was founded in 1909 by Constant A. Benoit Sr. when he developed the first Permatex product which was a shellac designed to bond bicycle tires to their rims. Shortly after that in 1915, Constant attended a 24 hour endurance race in which he observed that very frequently drivers were having to return to the pit area due to blown headgaskets. Quickly Benoit saw an opportunity to apply some of his experimental gasket compound to a vehicle in which it then ran the rest of the 24 hour race without any issues! The rest is history. Today the company is partnered with ITW (Illinois Tool Company) and has recently celebrated their 100 year anniversary in 2009. Works Ok - but read the instructions, for the love of god.
I used this repair kit on my BMW the other day for a bullseye chip repair. Initially it was working fine. Slap the applicator on, get the air out, get the resin in, no problem. This repair kit features a locking syringe to retain both a positive and negative pressure during the steps of the repair procedure. Out of a lack of patience, I decided to speed along the process. While applying positive pressure with the resin locked inside of the applicator, i made a fatal mistake. Pro tip- do NOT push the plunger down as hard as you can on the syringe, because I promise you the applicator will not be able to handle it. Boom. resin sprays out all over my windshield, leaving the scene appearing as messy as a night with mia Khalifa. I am now faced with the issue of an absurd amount of cured resin spatter all over my windshield, and a bullseye crack only half-filled with resin, not filling in the deepest areas of the crack. Oopsie. However, used according to the directions, this kit will work wonders.
