This basic cooling system service kit comes with the basics you will need to service your BMW's cooling system. Your BMW's cooling system is comprised of numerous individual pieces. The two most likely pieces you will want to maintain to keep your system flowing coolant, literally, is the water pump and thermostat assembly.

With this replacement kit FCP Euro also includes all required mounting hardware, an aluminum water pump pulley, Rein lower and upper radiator hoses, and 1 gallon of Genuine BMW coolant.

Engine Water Pump Kit

An engine water pump is a crucial component of a vehicle's cooling system. It circulates coolant (a mix of antifreeze and water) from the radiator through the engine and back to the radiator to prevent the engine from overheating. The pump is typically driven by the engine via a belt, chain, or gear. A water pump's key functions are to maintain a consistent flow of coolant through the engine block, cylinder heads, and radiator and regulate engine temperature to prevent overheating or freezing in extreme conditions.

Good kit, straight-forward repair
This is a good kit, and performing the repair was very straight-forward. Consider also buying a new radiator drain plug. It's plastic and mine disintegrated when I tried to re-use it. The years are not kind to plastic parts.
