Common fault codes associated with a failing or failed throttle body actuator are as follows:

This is exactly the same thing as the OEM BMW one. Just not BMW branded. Works the same and got rid of my CEL and limp mode.

Just what I needed
When I got my M3 I knew that my throttle actuators would eventually die. This OE part is exactly the same as the one that was in my car and the install was not too hard for a novice like myself. I was able to cure the christmas tree of lights on my dash and replace the part in a few hours by following a DIY guide on the forum. Don't be afraid to tackle this one yourself and save some cash. The added FCP warranty was just icing on the cake!

Cannot confirm if the internals have been updated, but being the original manufacturer it is likely these units have as they are brand new and not refurbished.
