Product Information

For vehicles with automatic transmission only

Your BMW's upper radiator hose supplies the engine with cooled coolant from the radiator. This hose typically lasts longer than the lower radiator hose as it is not exposed to as severe heating and cooling cycles. However, we still recommend replacing the lower and upper radiator hose at the same time to ensure maximum cooling system service life. Check regularly for dry rot or for any bulging.

Radiator Coolant Hose

Radiator hoses have an important job to transport your engine's coolant to and from its cooling system components. Over time they can become dry, hard, brittle, or leak which warrants a replacement. When replacing we also recommend a coolant flush and replacement to remove any possible sludge formed over time.

Recommended - Radiator / heating system cleaner by Liqui Moly LM2051. Radiator cleaner reliably removes dangerous deposits and allows the engine to run at the optimum temperature and operational reliability. Use as a preventive measure when performing a radiator hose replacement or coolant flush. Ideal for older systems.

Radiator Coolant Hose Failure Symptoms
  • Cracking
  • Leaking
  • Swelling
  • Deterioration

About Rein

Founded in 2007, CRP Automotive introduced the Rein Automotive line of OE-quality replacement parts to the aftermarket. And in just two short years, Rein Automotive has become very popular among both warehouse distributors and professional repair technicians. Rein is the German word for “pure”, and has come to be synonymous with quality in the automotive aftermarket. A true dealer alternative.

The Rein brand includes a growing number of “better than OE” parts for selected applications. These parts address known weaknesses and premature failures of factory parts. Many of these replacement and service solutions have been developed with the help of our Innovation Council, a hand-picked group of experienced professional repair technicians and shop owners throughout North America.

All Rein Automotive OE-quality parts are backed by the CRP Automotive standard, and are backed with a ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification. Each year, CRP Automotive ships thousands of Rein Automotive brand products. And with widespread NAFTA market distribution through strategically placed warehouses in Cranbury, New Jersey and Puebla, Mexico - OE-quality products like Rein Automotive are delivered to customers both faster and more cost-effectively than ever before.

In 2017 Rein partnered with FCP Euro in competing a W204 C300 AER car for the 2017 season. The partnership focused FCP Euro to dive deep into the Rein catalog offering, and hundreds of new products were added and integrated into our catalog. Hundreds of new packages were created not only using the full part pine up of Rein products, but also the entire family of CRP products like Pentosin.

Rein is also an innovative brand, winning numerous trade awards — including multiple new product innovation awards at the annual AAPEX trade show.

Horrible quality. Avoid
The original oem bmw part was 14.5 years old and replaced preventatively. This rein part lasted 3 years and not even 17k miles before exploding without signs of warning. FCP euro should not sell this part or any other coolant hoses from rein in my opinion.

Rad hose
Great quality hose. I switch these out every year or so, easy enough to do. Once your car overheats the plastic connector is suspect, that’s when they like to break or at least internally fracture. After a while they may leak from the metal band crimp, but if so it’s just a seep. The O rings in the connectors is the cause of the premature leaking but you can buy those separately and just replace them instead of the hose, however I’m a fan of if you’re in there just swap the whole hose. Remember to lubricate the o ring and opposite connection. Use you coolant, preferably concentrate pure coolant on the ring and never use Vaseline or any petroleum product as it will destroy the o ring and lead to premature failure.

Replacing the radiator, hoses, water pump, thermostat, and ATF cooler, and this was the easiest part so far. Super compact and simple, took me 30 seconds to install and give me peace of mind. highly recommend.

Terrible QC !
Replaced the factory hose in 2021 with this brand (Rein) as PM, two and a half yrs later the resin/plastic connector split in an almost perdect circle inside of hose with less than 20k miles on it ! Now replaced with same brand and it doesn't seal correctly to radiator because of a loose plastic flange ? that is suppose to hold the rubber seal in place does not. Im not even sure the plastic flange is suppose to even be that beings the original one was not like this, it is molded as a single piece ! Rein has some serious Quality Control issues ! Steer clear XXX

Fits like OEM, snug fit! These are a 1 time use hose for almost any BMW cooling hose/line after installing for more than 500 mile break-in period interval. :)
