Product Information

Radiator Coolant Hose

Radiator hoses have an important job to transport your engine's coolant to and from its cooling system components. Over time they can become dry, hard, brittle, or leak which warrants a replacement. When replacing we also recommend a coolant flush and replacement to remove any possible sludge formed over time.

Recommended - Radiator / heating system cleaner by Liqui Moly LM2051. Radiator cleaner reliably removes dangerous deposits and allows the engine to run at the optimum temperature and operational reliability. Use as a preventive measure when performing a radiator hose replacement or coolant flush. Ideal for older systems.

Radiator Coolant Hose Failure Symptoms
  • Cracking
  • Leaking
  • Swelling
  • Deterioration

About Rein

Founded in 2007, CRP Automotive introduced the Rein Automotive line of OE-quality replacement parts to the aftermarket. And in just two short years, Rein Automotive has become very popular among both warehouse distributors and professional repair technicians. Rein is the German word for “pure”, and has come to be synonymous with quality in the automotive aftermarket. A true dealer alternative.

The Rein brand includes a growing number of “better than OE” parts for selected applications. These parts address known weaknesses and premature failures of factory parts. Many of these replacement and service solutions have been developed with the help of our Innovation Council, a hand-picked group of experienced professional repair technicians and shop owners throughout North America.

All Rein Automotive OE-quality parts are backed by the CRP Automotive standard, and are backed with a ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification. Each year, CRP Automotive ships thousands of Rein Automotive brand products. And with widespread NAFTA market distribution through strategically placed warehouses in Cranbury, New Jersey and Puebla, Mexico - OE-quality products like Rein Automotive are delivered to customers both faster and more cost-effectively than ever before.

In 2017 Rein partnered with FCP Euro in competing a W204 C300 AER car for the 2017 season. The partnership focused FCP Euro to dive deep into the Rein catalog offering, and hundreds of new products were added and integrated into our catalog. Hundreds of new packages were created not only using the full part pine up of Rein products, but also the entire family of CRP products like Pentosin.

Rein is also an innovative brand, winning numerous trade awards — including multiple new product innovation awards at the annual AAPEX trade show.

Should've listened to reviewers
Leaks for me too. I am losing faith on FCP, they need to weed out items that are prone to failure at such high rates

Leaked after 18 Months
Fit my 2010 535Xi Wagon fine, but leaked after 18 months. Leaked past the metal end clamps at both ends which connect to the radiator and oil cooler.

Junk. Leaks after 2 years at clamps.
Buy the bmw ones or don't replace them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Just like every Rein item, this fails quickly. I have gone through 3 already (thanks to the lifetime warranty). I'm likely going to purchase the OEM hose now. I think FCP should seriously consider removing a large amount of their Rein items. Everytime I have a leak after a replacement - it is always a Rein part. I have learned my lesson.

Leaking after 9 months!
Bought this in may 2024 and is leaking now in march 2025. Leaking then the reservoir, and at the radiator, both threw the hoses at the metal clamps. Not an installation problem clearly a defect. I’ve noticed others with the same problem in their reviews only now after I’ve had this problem. My fault I didn’t read reviews but I would say pass on this if I had to buy again.

Fit well, but leaked in 18 monhs
Bought hose in June 2023 due to previous hose cracking and leaking. New hose fit well, but was a little short on the small hose to reservoir. However, the hose is now leaking in 2 different locations. I was expecting it to last longer than that.

Did not fit expansion tank
The coolant hose did not fit my 2010 535i like the website stated it would. The fitting to the expansion tank was too small (have picture). I had to take the fitting off my old coolant hose and retrofit it to the new coolant hose. Wasn't a lot of work to do as long as you have the old coolant hose. Other than that, hose fit perfectly.

Fit well, fixed one of my leaks
I pressure tested my cooling system and found this hose was leaking in multiple areas. Very easy to replace, use silicone spray/grease on reassembly to make it easier.

This includes everything pictured

What is the other hose/part number that connects to this? In the picture it's top side but in the car it comes off the bottom. This is where I have a leak. Any information would be greatly appreciated. 2010 BMW 535i
