Product Information

Carries coolant from the thermostat to the radiator

Your BMW's upper radiator hose carries cooled coolant from the radiator to the engine via the thermostat. The upper radiator hose generally lasts longer than the lower radiator hose as its not exposed to the same extreme heating and cooling conditions as the lower radiator hose is. However, we recommend replacing the upper and radiator hose at the same time for best service life.

Radiator Coolant Hose

Radiator hoses have an important job to transport your engine's coolant to and from its cooling system components. Over time they can become dry, hard, brittle, or leak which warrants a replacement. When replacing we also recommend a coolant flush and replacement to remove any possible sludge formed over time.

Recommended - Radiator / heating system cleaner by Liqui Moly LM2051. Radiator cleaner reliably removes dangerous deposits and allows the engine to run at the optimum temperature and operational reliability. Use as a preventive measure when performing a radiator hose replacement or coolant flush. Ideal for older systems.

Radiator Coolant Hose Failure Symptoms
  • Cracking
  • Leaking
  • Swelling
  • Deterioration

About Rein

Founded in 2007, CRP Automotive introduced the Rein Automotive line of OE-quality replacement parts to the aftermarket. And in just two short years, Rein Automotive has become very popular among both warehouse distributors and professional repair technicians. Rein is the German word for “pure”, and has come to be synonymous with quality in the automotive aftermarket. A true dealer alternative.

The Rein brand includes a growing number of “better than OE” parts for selected applications. These parts address known weaknesses and premature failures of factory parts. Many of these replacement and service solutions have been developed with the help of our Innovation Council, a hand-picked group of experienced professional repair technicians and shop owners throughout North America.

All Rein Automotive OE-quality parts are backed by the CRP Automotive standard, and are backed with a ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification. Each year, CRP Automotive ships thousands of Rein Automotive brand products. And with widespread NAFTA market distribution through strategically placed warehouses in Cranbury, New Jersey and Puebla, Mexico - OE-quality products like Rein Automotive are delivered to customers both faster and more cost-effectively than ever before.

In 2017 Rein partnered with FCP Euro in competing a W204 C300 AER car for the 2017 season. The partnership focused FCP Euro to dive deep into the Rein catalog offering, and hundreds of new products were added and integrated into our catalog. Hundreds of new packages were created not only using the full part pine up of Rein products, but also the entire family of CRP products like Pentosin.

Rein is also an innovative brand, winning numerous trade awards — including multiple new product innovation awards at the annual AAPEX trade show.

Hoses were old so the seals inside got stuck on the water and would constantly leak out. If you haven't replaced them do them! They will eventually leak or crack and best to do before it happens no more leak!

Questions & Answers

Ask a question
Question Posted by Michael
Are O-rings needed and if so do they come with the hose?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Assuming you're referring to the o-rings inside the quick disconnect couplers. If that is the case then yes, they are included pre-installed as they are not available separately. The fan switch o-ring on the other hand is not included and traditionally is not available separately from the fan switch itself. However, we offer a direct replacement o-ring for it and recommend replacing it if reusing the original fan switch, please see p/n OES-091158010.
