This oil change kit features a Genuine BMW filter kit with filter element, drain plug crush washer, and filter housing gaskets along with 8 liters of Genuine BMW 0W30 synthetic oil. Changing oil yourself on your BMW will save you money over the dealer or specialist shops.

BMW oil change kit
Great kit and comes with alittle extra oil which is good for the diesel motors so you can top it off between oil changes. Filter and O-ring fit right on like it should.

Not the correct spec for twin turbo diesels.
Note that per BMW’s own documentation this LL-12 FE oil is not within spec for the older twin turbo diesels which still require LL-04 spec oil (e.g., The E70 35d). Guess I’ll run this for a short OCI and change it with LL-04 spec oil. Wish I would have been paying closer attention. Four stars because FCP always has great service, but I don’t think this oil should show as compatible for the 6 cyl diesels.

Diesel oils have more detergent additives, then conventional oil. I did not catch the switch when ordering. Will not be using the oil I run in my 135i for the 335d. They are very different motors. This kit should not be listed as a option for 335d.

BMW has discontinued the 5W30 LL-04 TwinPower Turbo in favor of the 0W30 LL-12FE. The 0W30 oil is backward compatible with vehicles that used 5W30 from the factory. This new oil offers better protection across a wider array of operating temperatures and due to its lower cold viscosity will also help improve cold start oil pressure and flow better for added protection while still providing the same level of protection at operating temp. Compared to conventional engine oils, this BMW oil exhibits better viscosity properties, reduced friction, and minimized propensity for evaporation.
