If you can, buy OEM parts, just because it's roulette if you don't... This kit came with a Borge Warner T-Stat, and other mix branded parts. Didn't know anything about Borge Warner before, and, of course, thought that if FCP is putting it in their kit, it'd be fine because they back everything they sale. But T-stat had failed pretty early, less than a year into the install, and I didn't even know it because it was an internal failure. I have used other brands, Bear, Wagner, and BMW T-stats, they all worked fine in my past cars. But for some reason, bad parts come into play sometimes, and more often with non-BMW brand parts, as how this kit did for me... That said, FCP has a great return policy. And that's why I gave it a try. If I were to do it again, I would be much better off piecing together my own kit, with as many 'core' parts using BMW brand as possible, like the thermostat. saving time - because you are the one who will be taking the failed part off and putting the new one in, and saving money - because you are the one who will have to pay for return shipping. My advice is don't buy these 'kits' from anyone if you can help it. It's exactly like getting the "Chefs Special" and take that from a chef myself, you don't ever want that even from Bobby Flay himself. It's just sneaking in inventory they can't move as quickly. There's a reason for that poor movement, and likely was undiscovered before FCP decided to stock their warehouse with it. Anyway, don't buy this kit. Just buy the parts you really need.

This kit is wonderful!!! It supplied everything I needed to work on the cooling system of my 2000 BMW 323i. If you have any doubt or don't know the history of your cooling system (this was my case since the car was bought used), I highly recommend you purchase this kit and overhaul your system. Everything works well together - no problems at all!

Just finished up installing this kit on my 211K mile E46 330i. Everything that I needed was included with the kit and all the parts felt very high in quality. Definitely would recommend this to anyone needing an overhaul or even if you're just replacing one thing, might as well spend the extra and do everything.
