Xenon Headlight Control Unit - Hella 009000001

Product Information

A headlight control module (sometimes called a headlamp control unit or lighting control module) is an electronic unit that manages and regulates a vehicle’s headlight functions. It communicates with onboard sensors, switches, and the vehicle’s ECU to control operations such as:

• Turning headlights on/off automatically based on ambient light conditions.
• Operating daytime running lights (DRLs).
• Adjusting beam levels (auto-leveling systems).
• Managing adaptive or dynamic headlight systems (e.g., cornering lights, matrix LEDs).

It ensures proper illumination for safety while optimizing power consumption and compliance with regulations.

• Headlights Not Functioning Properly – One or both headlights may fail to turn on, flicker, or remain stuck in high/low beam.
• Warning Lights or Error Messages – Dashboard warnings (e.g., “headlamp malfunction”) appear due to faulty communication with the ECU.
• Loss of Advanced Functions – Automatic headlights, adaptive beam control, or daytime running lights stop working as intended.
