This fuel tank sending unit sits in the right side of the fuel tank and measures the fuel level. It also provides the fuel system fuel pressure that is required by your BMW's engine to run.

Recommended - Fuel System Cleaner by Liqui Moly LM2030. Cleans fuel residues and treats the injector system and components of the fuel system after repairs on the fuel system.

Fuel Pump Module Assembly

A fuel pump module assembly is a complete unit, typically located inside the fuel tank, that delivers pressurized fuel to the engine. Unlike a standalone fuel pump, the module will sometimes include:

  • Electric fuel pump – draws and pressurizes fuel.
  • Fuel filter/strainer – removes debris and contaminants.
  • Fuel pressure regulator – maintains consistent fuel pressure.
  • Fuel level sending unit – communicates fuel level to the gauge.

Fuel Pump Assembly
Perfect fit & operation! You need to feed the fuel lines through the entry opening at the front of the tank and turn the pump on installation clockwise! :)

UPDATE ON HORRIBLE PUMP
HOLY C&@P! The Lifetime Replacement Guarantee is a FRAUD. You have to send the original product back. ONYOUR OWN DIME. I spent $82 to ship my original purchase back to FCP Euro. Seriously guys? I offered to PAY YOU for YOUR postage rates. I bet it would of only cost me $35. I can stomach THAT. So, the Lifetime Replacement Guarantee is NOT all it's cracked up to be. You end up paying for the replacement part in excessive shipping costs b/c FCP Euro DEMANDS that the original part be shipped in a box other than the OEM box. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR BOXES and CUT THEM DOWN TO SIZE. Also, how come you don't put in the description that the parts need to be coded to the car using NCS Expert & WinKFP? If you don't, then you are NOT doing your customers any service. I HAVE to buy things from you b/c a lot of the E60 BMW parts are now, "Unobtanium." If I may make a respectful suggestion,.... Sell us the return postage at a premuim WAY BELOW the other carriers (USPS, USP, FedEx). Let us know that certain parts MUST be coded to the CAS. I bet you'll get WAY more sales.

HORRIBLE PUMP! I’m on my 5th one within 2 years and it’s failing.
I have a 2006 E60 525i and these pumps are GARBAGE! I’m on my 5th one in two years. I purchased two from RockAuto and both of them failed. I purchased one from here and it only lasted two years. I tried the lifetime replacement warranty and the replacements (two so far) have both failed. You have to code these to the CAS. Which I do. I ran INPATIENT to prime the lines and that worked. When I take a turn or get on the gas, the pump fails. I have a new filter/pressure regulator as well. I have also replaced the relay. I don’t get any codes on the EVAP system. None of the ventilation lines are bad. No leaks in the lines. The ONLY pump that has EVER worked was the BMW pump. Kinda ironic considering the BMW pump is a BOSCH out of the SAME factory. BMW pumps cost more because they test them and certify them. I wonder if FCP, RockAuto purchased Counterfeit parts? I wouldn’t put it past that. Parts dealers (Wholesale) have gotten REALLY shady as of late.

BMW 528xi 2010 e60
I ordered a fuel pump and a fuel filter, they arrived in the shortest possible time, the replacement is not difficult, but it would be better if someone helped, after the replacement the car began to accelerate normally, before that when pressing the gas pedal the car did not pick up speed well, and responded very weakly to the gas pedal, also do not forget to order 2 sealing rings, if you change both the filter and the pump, they are not included in the kit

Fuel Pump
Old one had a hairline crack. Install was straightforward, works great. Improved acceleration response. IF YOU CAN FIND A LOCK RING TOOL IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MUCH EASIER. Although its still doable with hammer and large flathead.

Bmw fuel pump assembly
2008 528xi fuel pump is a direct fit plug and play unit install it about 2 weeks ago and it works great. Aside from that the website is very user friendly and the prices are very competitive. A+++ will buy from again.

I have a 2009 E60 550i M Sport with the N62B48 V8. RealOEM lists both this part # 16117373503 (5 bar) as well as the part # 16117373458 (3.5 bar) as both being compatible with my car. I cannot find any documentation showing which one is the right one for my application. Is the 5 bar for M Sport models with the SAT transmission? That’s the only differentiation I can possibly come up with. Please shed some light on this for me.

0580314545 is the equivalent to BMW OE# 16117373503. 16117373521 is a completely different assembly and cross references to Bosch 0580202027 which we have listed on our site under that OE number. The primary difference between 16117373521 (0580202027) and 16117373503 (050314545) is going to be the average flow rating of each assembly. 16117373521 (0580202027) is rated at 75 GP with a maximum pressure of 95 PSI (for direct injected applications) while 16117373503 (050314545) is rated for 44 GP with a maximum pressure of 109PSI (for port injected applications). We do not recommend substituting or interchanging these assemblies as the fitments are pretty specific between them.
