Part of your BMW's intake manifold
The intake manifold adjuster, more commonly referred to as a DISA valve, is responsible for helping your BMW produce the best possible output across the rev range. The DISA valve artificially lengthens the intake runner at low RPM's for more low end torque and shortens the intake runners at high RPM's for more top end power.
A failed/failing DISA valve has the following symptoms:
- Hesitation at low rpm
- Rough idle
- Lean codes
- Loud noises from engine bay

Part seems to fit and packaged well and built well. However, the connector seems a bit loose, so may need to apply some tape or similar to ensure a secure connection. Used for an N52 3 stage intake upgrade on e85 Z4.
Higher quality metal vs plastic parts used vs OEM, Rein is really good quality especially knowing most is made in China, very well done. Is programmable to software upgrades for Stage 3 Intake swaps and install! The seal is copper not rubber, Metal pin vs plastic pin. Very happy with my purchase!
