Product Information

The brake rotors on your vehicle serve a very important purpose which is to provide a link between the wheel hub and the brake pads giving them a surface area for friction that allows you to stop your vehicle. Brake rotors are a wear item that require replacement over the course of time. At every pad replacement its recommended to inspect the rotors for glazing, hot spots, warpage, and to make sure its within the minimum thickness specification which is listed on the hat of the rotor. When replacing brake rotors it is imperative to replace them in matched pairs for the best performance and service life of your braking system.

Minimum rotor thickness from BMW is specified at 26.4mm for this rotor.

Disc Brake Rotor

Commonly referred to as a Brake Disc or a Brake Rotor, these components play a vital role in your braking system. When applying the brake pedal, this produces hydraulic fluid pressure which then transfers the pressure from the pedal through your braking system and into your brake calipers. The caliper pistons then apply pressure against your brake pads squeezing them inward against your brake rotors ultimately causing friction and stopping the vehicle. Brake rotors are a regular maintenance item which requires either servicing by means of machine work, or most commonly replacement when they become too thin, pulsate, glaze, or grind from worn-out brake pads. It's recommended to replace the brake pads and rotors at the same time.

Fantastic Rotors
These have been some of the best rotors that I have ever put on any of my cars. Great price and have lasted more than 55k miles in predominately coastal areas (lots of salt water). Haven't warped or grooved and the only reason I'm replacing them is because they are only 2mm from tolerance and my pads need to be replaced. Great product.

Warped
These performed well for a couple of years, but the rotors eventually warped. Returning them isn’t practical as the shipping cost for the lifetime warranty is about the same as buying new rotors.

Warped after a year and half.
1. Purchased four rotors from FCP Euro. All four rotors were installed correctly by the dealer. After 1.5 years, the two front rotors are warped. I suspect that there is a quality issue with the rotors. 2. The lifetime warranty is not real! Need to be careful when purchasing stuff from FCP Euro.

Brake Discs
I've had these on for about a week now and they work which is the important thing. The install was easy and they look good on the vehicle, which is a nice plus.

Smooth braking again
Put these on about a month ago. They are nice, smooth, Fit perfectly and shipped fast. Way better than the warped disc's that were on it.

Zimmerman rotors
Replacements for my front rotors on 2012 BMW X3. Like all my other orders from FCP these came really fast and are at least equal to OEM Made in Germany stamped right on the side. They said they are equal to OEM I would say they are a bit better

MAde is Germany stamped on the rotor
I thought it would be a case of packaging made in Germany and the rotor would be from China. Nope, it is stamped on the rotor MADE IN GERMANY. I think the coating is a little on thin side, the rotors have zero vibration, perfect fit , so far they are great. Time will tell for sure

Replaced OEM BMW rotors which were pretty rusty. Hope these don't rust from the coating. Excellent OEM replacements. Perfect fitment, no issues. I'm just wondering why fcp does not carry the rear zimmermann rotors for my car.
