Early year models will need an updated fuel rail if upgrading to the newer intake manifold style, Part# 06J133317AB

If your VW is experiencing a P2015 DTC, power loss, a rough idle and/or poor fuel economy, this kit may just be what your looking for. This updated intake manifold kit includes all the necessary hardware, an updated intake manifold, and a third air supply line to the manifold flap valve unit.

The new third air supply hose included in this kit will connect to the top side of the valve and will prevent dirt and contaminants from entering the valve. The hose will install in the location between coils #2 and #3 with the included bolt.

P2015 is gone!

I had an older revision intake manifold that failed with the P2015. Normally I only buy OE/OEM, but in this instance I took a chance on the Febi because the savings were too much to ignore. The brand has a good reputation so even if the part is made in China, quality control should be good. I put the new manifold on and the CEL went away. Mission accomplished! These things just hit the market recently so it's too early to tell on long-term durability, but so far so good!

Intake Manifold

My 2014 VW intake manifold had unusually high failure rates and VW issued a 100K mile/10 year extended warranty for the intake alone. It went bad month outside of the 10 years (OF COURSE!) and the dealership would not take care of. Picked this kit up for 40% less than the genuine part cost. Works like a charm, no issues at all.

Hi, do you know what other bolts I need to buy other the ones in this kit? the 3 bots away from the engine block what used to mount 3 plastic brackets. I think the two on the right side are for a bracket holding wire harness, not sure how to descript the bracket on the left side in the picture. thanks

Does this intake manifold come with the intake manifold runner position sensor?

Yes, the intake manifold runner position sensor would be mounted on the manifold.

There’s a statement in the description that says earlier model years will require the updated fuel rail. I have a 2011 model year, would I need the updated dual rail too?

For 2011, you should not need that. If you would like, you can send your VIN to our service team for verification.
