Product Information

The timing belt Idler is a very crucial part of your engine. The timing belt is responsible for syncing the bottom half of your engine to the top half and essentially keeping it in time. The timing belt Idler helps to keep constant tension on the belt and should it fail, would cause the engine to fall out of sync resulting in catastrophic damage. It is always recommended to replace the timing belt Idler when servicing the timing belt. Additionally, during routine servicing of the vehicles, it's not a bad idea to visually inspect the tensioner for wear such as grease extruding from the bearing and/or the tensioner being saturated in a fluid such as an engine oil from an external engine oil leak.
