EXACT REPLACEMENT ITEM
German rotors (Zimmerman) and German semi-metallic pads (Pagid) are as close to OEM as you will get, but still quite affordable for such high quality (and large) rotors/pads. I went with this kit specifically for the Pagid brake pads. I bought a used TDI that obiously has the ceramic pads on it and it doesn't stop nearly as well as my other TDI with the semi-metallic pads on it. So here we go to the new addition up to snuff in the braking department. I also ordered Pagid pads for the fronts to match the friction surfaces on both axles and fully restore what I know are awesome brakes on this Audi Q7 TDI. The pads that came with the vehicle still have lots of wear left on them, but they seriously disappoint in both initial bite and overall braking confidence, which is typical of a lot of ceramic style pads; I don't want my brakes to last forever...i want them to work flawlessly and feel rock solid underfoot, as if my foot is directly connected to the brake calipers. You need excellent quality pads for that. Don't buy cheap brakes or tires, as they are all that keeps you on the road when things go wrong.
