A complete timing chain kit

Your Audi's timing chain system is designed to be a lifetime component. However, we have seen on timing chains stretch and guide rails fail high mileage 4.2 liter V8's. If this occurs the rear timing case will need to be opened and all the components of the timing system will need to be replaced.

This pre-assembled kit makes the job a little bit easier. The complexity of the timing system means there are numerous parts. We have grouped together all the major parts in one easy kit.

Engine Timing Chain Kit

An engine timing chain is a crucial component in an internal combustion engine that synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and camshafts. It ensures that the engine's valves open and close at the proper times during each cylinder's intake and exhaust strokes, maintaining optimal engine performance. Timing chains are typically made of metal and are designed to last for the life of the engine, though they can wear out or become damaged over time. Damaged or stretched chains can impact the timing on an engine and overwork the tensioner, failures in this system can cause catastrophic engine failure and costly repairs.
