Motul S-Tronic Transmission Service Kit - 7 Speed 0BZ/DL800

This S-Tronic Transmission Service Kit includes everything you will need to service the 7-Speed Oerlikon Graziano 0BZ/DL800 Dual Clutch Transmission in your Type 42/4S R8. It is recommended to perform the Dual Clutch Transmission Service every 4 years or 40,000 miles, whichever may come first.

This Kit Includes:

  • 11L of Motul Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid (10.5L / 11.0 qt. Filling Capacity)
  • Dual Clutch Transmission Oil Filter
  • Dual Clutch Transmission Oil Filter Housing Cap (With Housing O-Ring and Heat Shield Boot)
  • Transmission Oil Pan Drain Plug (1) - WHT-006-863 and 0BZ-398-359-A - Depending on Transmission Oil Pan equipped
  • Transmission Drain Plug Seal (2) - N-013-812-8
  • Transmission Drain Plug Seal (3) - N-043-809-2

Transmission Service Process and Torque Specifications

Drain Plug Opening Sequence:

  • Loosen and Remove Transmission Drain Plugs (1-5)
  • Remove Oil Overflow Tube - (3)
  • Drain DCT Fluid
  • Remove Dual Clutch Transmission Oil Filter
  • Install Transmission Drain Plugs (1, 2, 4, 5)
  • Install Oil Overflow Tube - Hand Tighten - 1 Nm

Torque Specification(s):

  • Transmission Oil Pan Drain Plug (1) - WHT-006-863 - 8 Nm
  • Transmission Oil Pan Drain Plug (1) - 0BZ-398-359-A - Bayonet Catch - Pay attention to the markings
  • Transmission Drain Plug (2) - Mechatronic Cover - N-106-379-01 - 20 Nm
  • Transmission Drain Plug (3) - With Oil Overflow Tube - N-902-154-04 - 32 Nm
  • Transmission Drain Plug (4) - Depending on Transmission Code - N-016-029-3 - 50 Nm
  • Transmission Drain Plug (5) - Under Right Side Axle Shaft - N-016-029-3 - 50 Nm

Filling Procedure

  • Please Note: The DCT fluid level changes with the DCT fluid temperature: Too low of a DCT fluid temperature leads to overfilling, and too high of a DCT fluid level temperature leads to underfilling.
  • Fill the Transmission with the specified amount based of service refill capacity - 10.5L / 11.0 qt.
  • Install Transmission Drain Plug (3) - Tighten, but do not torque to specification to ensure new drain plug seal can be reused
  • Start the engine and let it idle for about 30 seconds.
  • Verify DCT fluid temperature at the start of the test: 30 to 50 °C (86 to 122 °F), otherwise let the transmission cool.
  • Press the foot brake and shift multiple times between the positions “D” and “R” back and forth, retaining each position for at least three seconds.
  • Engage the "N" position
  • Turn off the engine and verify DCT fluid level
  • If some DCT fluid still leaks out at a temperature between 30 and 55 °C (86 and 131 °F) (due to additional warming), the ATF level is OK.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on level ground while checking oil levels.
