Audi Mechatronic Repair Kit

This mechatronic repair kit was created based off of Audi's TSB 10054213-2278 which is a repair kit solution for 7-speed S-Tronic transmissions. During the lifespan of the DL501 transmission which can be found in the Audi S4, S5, RS5, S6, and S7 may experience gearbox malfunction codes caused by the circuit board for the valve body failing.

Symptoms of a failing mechatronic unit

• Gearbox malfunction fault on dash
• Harsh up and down shifts
• Vehicle bucking in traffic
• Clunking noise when shifting

When the mechatronic wiring circuit board fails you will see fault codes:

• P17D8 (Torque limitation because of clutch temperature)
• P0726 (RPM signal of engine control unit, implausible signal)
• P174B (Valve 4 in the sub-gearbox 1, electric fault)
• P174F (Valve 4 in the sub-gearbox 2, electric fault)
• P179C (Main pressure valve, electric fault)
• P179D (Coolant oil valve electrical fault)
• P174C (Partial transmission 1 valve 2 Electrical error)
• P174A (Valve 3 in the sub-gearbox 1, electric fault)
• P174E (Valve 3 in the sub-gearbox 2, electric fault)
• P1740 (Clutch temperature monitoring)
