An HVAC blend door actuator is a small electric motor that controls the movement of the blend door(s) inside a vehicle’s heating and air conditioning system. By adjusting the position of the door, it regulates the mix of hot and cold air, allowing the cabin temperature to be set to the driver’s preference.

• Inconsistent or incorrect cabin temperature, such as only hot or only cold air regardless of settings.
• Clicking or knocking noises from behind the dashboard when adjusting climate controls, caused by broken gears inside the actuator.
