Recommended for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E and SAE J2360 applications

This 75W90 GL-5 gear oil is designed for transmission and trans-axles. It is specifically designed to slow synchros for easier shifting across a broad range of temperatures. It is particularly popular in Ferrari, Porsche, and Subaru trans-axles. It also contains extreme pressure additives but lacks friction modifiers to balance slipperiness. In addition, it has improved copper corrosion protection to prolong synchro life.

For differentials, it helps lock up weak limited sleep differentials ad is compatible with Red Line Limited Slip Friction Modifier for tuning slippage. It is also used with clutch type LSD's in racing for maximum lock up.

A great choice of brand for 75w-90! For hot summer climate you want to go with 75w-140. but 75w-90 Redline is very high quality for handling pressure, durability & heat.

Works great!
I use this on my P2 Volvo XC70 to replace the Bevel Gear and Rear Differential fluids. Works great for as an OEM equivalent replacement for a much better price!

I do not know if I should use this or the Redline 75W80 manual transmission oil in my 2008 BMW 328i coupe with manual transmission. Under fitment, they both show as appropriate for my car. The mileage on the vehicle, if that matters, is 88,000 miles.

The recommended oil is 75W80, you can use the 75W90 but the 75W80 weight is what your BMW came with from the factory.
