Product Information

This special pass through socket allows for proper torquing and tightening of the strut mount top nut. This socket features a 21mm counter hold at the top that can either be used with the special CTA pass thru ratchet (CTA- 3039X14) or a regular 21mm wrench.

Since this socket is 82mm deep it allows for easy access to recessed strut nuts inside deep strut mounts. In addition the top of the socket where the counterhold is has a pass through slot wide enough for a variety of counterhold tools to be used with easy to properly torque the strut shaft top nut to the strut mount.

This is a must have addition to the tool box for the DIYer or the professional alike.

flats measurement was 21 mm
6 mm allen socket with 3/8 extension fit easily through the middle. Mandatory for proper torquing of front strut on my Mini. Aftermarket Konis (red Actives) used this 19 mm pass through socket. Stock strut nut was 21 which I also needed since nut was recessed. Both the 19 and 21 mm pass through socket required a 21 mm crows foot for a torque wrench.

Worked like a charm!
Much cheaper than the ECS tool, and helped get the mount nut off of my camber plates, where a regular box wrench couldn't grab enough. It allowed a full 3/8" extension and allen socket to fit through, which was great.
