Gareth Foley

Hi, I'm Gareth and I am the BMW catalog manager at FCP Euro. I was born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut. From a young age I learned to love cars. My first experience with cars came with my father who would let me steer his truck up the driveway at home. The first car that truly grabbed my attention was a red Dodge Viper sitting in the showroom of a local dodge dealership. It was red and it was cool. My introduction to BMW came in the form of a 2000 E39 528i Sedan. This car had previously belonged to my Aunt and is most likely the reason why I currently work for FCP Euro. We'll get to that later.

I attended Central Connecticut State University and studied marketing. Originally, I had attended CCSU to play Division 1 Golf but it didn't work out. While at College I joined the Central Car Club which would host two car shows per year as well weekly meetings. On the weekends I would go up to the Berlin Turnpike which used to be known as a hot spot for car meets of all kinds. In 2009, while a Junior at CCSU, I attended the SEMA show with other members of the Central Car Club. It was at this point that I decided I wanted to work in the automotive industry.

After graduating college with my BS in marketing I was working at a Nissan dealership as a sales representative. On a December night in 2011 on my way back home I noticed a strange vibration in the front of my E39. It was a broken engine mount. I made a video and uploaded it onto YouTube with links to FCP in the description. A few days later I was contacted by FCP to film DIY videos at my own home. A few months later I became a full time employee at FCP and after a few months of working as a sales associate I became a Catalog Manager in early 2013 solely focusing on BMW.

I have worked since 2013 to build one of the most accurate and comprehensive replacement parts catalogs for BMW cars. It's my passion for the brand that drives me every day to continue working on what is truly an immersive project. I currently own a E92 M3 and daily drive a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, family, and friends as well as working on cars.
